What ScientivoLab is
ScientivoLab is lab management software: a shared system of record for a lab's day-to-day operations. It keeps four things that every lab juggles — inventory with lots and expiry, samples with location history, equipment with maintenance and calibration, and SOPs with versions and approvals — in one place, with a dashboard that shows what needs attention today.
The problem it solves
Most small labs run on spreadsheets, sticky notes, and memory. That works until several people need accurate answers at once: what's expiring, where a sample went, when the pipette set is due for calibration, which SOP version is current. The failure isn't dramatic — it's the half-day lost auditing a freezer, or the reagent ordered twice because nobody was sure. ScientivoLab replaces that with shared, trustworthy records and automatic alerts.
Who it is built for
- Biotech startups that outgrew spreadsheets but don't need an enterprise LIMS.
- Academic labs whose shared inventory must survive student turnover.
- Core and shared facilities tracking equipment service and shared stock.
If your lab runs formal test-result workflows under regulatory requirements, a traditional LIMS may fit better — we say so plainly on the LIMS alternative page.
How it's sold
Plans are priced per lab, not per person — one subscription covers the whole lab. The free plan is enough to run a small lab's inventory, samples, equipment, and SOPs from day one; free pilots are available for labs that want migration help. Questions? Contact us.
How the product is built
ScientivoLab is a web application — nothing to install. Every lab is an organization: data is scoped to your organization, access is controlled by role-based permissions, and changes are captured in an audit trail. A versioned REST API is available for integrations and scripts. See security for what that means in practice and documentation for getting started.
